Project Story

Background

For years, the Miekpor community has relied on unsafe water sources, posing significant health risks to its inhabitants.

Initiation

Relief and Aid International, an NGO founded by Madam Peggy Anna Naa Ayikailey Adamafio, embarked on a mission to provide safe water to the Miekpor community.

Implementation

This project was generously funded by Deeann Dawn Jones, an American health practitioner and foundation member, and delivered a newly constructed mechanized borehole for the community.

Impact

During the launch ceremony, Lady Justice Julia Naa Yarley Adjei-Amoah emphasized the transformative impact of access to clean water on the lives of Miekpor's residents. She thanked the project sponsors and urged the community to maintain the borehole for its long-term benefit. Former Accra Mayor, Prof. Ishmael Ashitey, highlighted the fundamental right of every community to have access to potable water.
